This old fashioned vintage inspired love letter wedding was photographed by JLM Creative Photography at the Chalet View Lodge in Portola, California and submitted as part of our On the Go Bride styled shoot competition.
About the shoot: The idea behind this shoot is to celebrate and feature special personal items of our couple that tell the story of their romance and courtship. Modern touches blended with antiques successfully merge the old and the new to celebrate a classic old fashioned courtship while keeping the style current and up to date. We imagine this couple exchanged love letters, and carved their initials into a special tree where they had romantic weekend picnics, and then watched old movies at a revival theater. The color palette was blush and pink ombré with accents of birch and aged or tea stained paper. Details include an aisle runner in black chalkboard with excerpts from Shakespeare’s sonnets hand written in chalk, vintage love letters, books of poetry, antique typewriter, mercury glass, table runners in blush sequins and cream satin rosette, a LOVE lighted marquee sign, and vintage door knobs.
