Every now and then you get a truly feel good compliment. You know the ones I am talking about. The genuine compliments that have you on cloud nine and you remember them for years to come. Earlier this week I received one of these compliments.

We have a very special blog post today for all of you. Christie from JLM Creative Photography has put together a wonderful guest post about The First Look. You all know the tradition of not seeing each other before the ceremony. But lots of couples are now opting to do a first look before the wedding ceremony. I know I chose to do wedding party photos before guests arrived and I am so glad I did!

This wedding was inspired by the old Glenbrook glamor of the 40′s and 50′s. From the custom 1955 Grace Kelly’s Oscar inspired wedding dress to the 1935 classic dodge, this wedding included fun historic details.

Another gorgeous bridal makeup application from our lovely vendor Lindsay Lu Styling and Makeup Artistry! I absolutely LOVE the purple accents around the bride’s eyes. With all the gorgeous neutrals I still enjoy seeing pops of color with makeup. These photos show how fun color can be and what a great addition it makes.

I’ve been seeing some great alternative boutonniere options lately and I wanted to share them. Let’s face it. Not all guys are fans of colorful, beautiful florals. So why not try some of these fun options? You can incorporate these pieces into your bouquet or within the decor at your reception. Or you can just let your guy and his groomsmen stand out with some unique boutonnieres!
