Real Wedding | Kaleena + Michael's North Meets South Wedding
"What can I NOT say about Kaleena and Michael? Ever since shooting their epic, all-day Manhattan engagement session in 2017 (you can view Part One, Part Two, and Part Three here!) I found myself deeply invested in the relationship and impending wedding day of this sweet, enthusiastic and madly-in-love couple. Their North meets South wedding day took place in Goshen, New York at the historic Stagecoach Inn. Their day was picture perfect from start to finish, surrounded by their large, loving families and many supportive friends.
Arkansas native Kaleena found several ways to incorporate her Southern roots into her wedding day, including Shrimp and Grits on the menu for dinner, a deer-themed cake topper and card box, and a custom made BBQ rub for guests to take home as a favor. Kaleena never had any doubts about her style inspiration - her goal was big, Dolly Parton inspired hair ("Tease it up to God!"). Michael and his groomsmen spent a light-hearted morning "horsing" around and had me cracking up. I'll never forget Kaleena telling us in the limo that she didn't plan to drink at her reception, because Michael was the only man she never needed alcohol to feel confident around, or Michael opening Kaleena's special gifts to him - cufflinks that read "Grow Old with Me" in Italian. When they surprised Kaleena's dad with an original serenade on the harmonica and guitar, there wasn't a dry eye in the house (including the ones behind the cameras...) The bride and groom incorporated custom made details and gifts from several Etsy vendors and were excited to support small business artisans with their wedding details.
